The YMCA Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten offers a Christian based, high-quality learning experience for 3-6 year old children. Our YMCA Preschool is a happy place where children are given opportunities to participate in many activities such as: painting, coloring, cutting, art, music, finger plays, Bible stories, sharing, show-n-tell, puppet shows, outdoor play in a large and beautiful area, gym activities, playing in Hangtime Jr. – our amazing indoor Kids Gym, swimming, bounce houses, guest speakers, and frequent field trips for our MWF Classes.
Goals of the YMCA Preschool are to help children develop to their fullest potential in a developmentally appropriate environment focusing on: Christian principles, school readiness, character traits, confidence and feelings of self-worth, getting along with others, manners and health and nutrition.
The YMCA Preschool implements the Nebraska Early Learning Guidelines in its daily activates and is staffed by licensed, qualified personnel dedicated to the task of providing a caring, fun, safe and positive environment for your child.

Preschool Tuition 2023/2024:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday Classes: YMCA Members – $140/month Non Members – $160/month
Tuesday & Thursday AM Class: YMCA Members – $110/month Non Members – $130/month
Tuesday & Thursday PM Class (Active Learning): YMCA Members – $110/month Non Members – $130/month
Monday through Friday AM Class: YMCA Members – $225/month Non Members – $250/month
Monday through Friday PM Class: YMCA Members – $225/month Non Members – $250/month
All Day/Everyday Class: YMCA Members – $400/month Non Members – $450/month
Tuition can be paid in full at the beginning of the school year or paid monthly through our automatic check withdraw. You need no money down, just stop by the front desk and fill out an automatic check withdraw slip and information on the account you want the withdraw on. There will be a $40 fee assessed for any payment that is returned due to insufficient funds.
In order to be eligible for the Member fee you must have a Family Membership.
**Pre-registration: begins in March. A $90.00 non-refundable registration fee will guarantee a space for your child. When this fee is paid early it will include one session of Summer Kinderkamp.
Due to its popularity our Preschool does have a waiting list. You can place your child’s name on the list at any time during the year!

M-W-F Morning Pre-Kindergarten and M-W-F Afternoon Pre-Kindergarten – classes offers your child growth and stimulation in all areas of development: physical, language, social, emotional, and creativity. The weekly themes, Manuscript Writing, and developmentally appropriate crafts and activities will offer meaningful experiences in your child’s exciting learning endeavors.
T-TH Preschool – children will be given the opportunity to interact with people outside the family and learn how to relate and socialize within a group. With a wide range of learning experiences and materials, children can choose their own activities, and work and play independently or in small groups at their own pace and ability level.
T-TH Afternoon Active Learning – is a fun opportunity for your child to experience social interaction, learning and exploration through active games and ply while you stay healthy by using the YMCA facility or just taking the afternoon off. Active Learning will take place in our new indoor playground, as well as in the gym, multi-purpose room and outdoors. Children will need to bring their own healthy snack/drink to our Afternoon Active Learning Program.
Lunch Bunch – if your child attends Preschool all day, your will need to be a member of our Active Kids Program. Lunch Bunch kids attend Preschool in the morning, have their lunch in the Active Kids Room and then return to their afternoon class. Active Kids members are welcome to use the Active Kids program before and after preschool.
