Welcome to Scottsbluff YMCA Trails West!

In 2001, the Scottsbluff Family YMCA was approached by the Scottsbluff Kiwanis Club with a proposal to let the organization take over the camp. The YMCA created a committee that included members from area organizations such as the Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and 4-H clubs. The committee looked at what the community wanted to see in a youth camp organization.

Since then, the YMCA has built several new buildings including the Trails West Pavilion, Gordon Schaub Activity Center, Jane Fliesbach Retreat Center, and a swimming pool. The original bunkhouses and Kiwanis Lodge remain and have been remodeled to fit into the needs of the camp. The buildings can be rented and used by the community throughout the year.

Trails West is beautifully designed and nestled on the banks of the North Platte River. You will find a stunning view of the Scotts Bluff National Monument. Whether you are interested in our summer camp programs, holding a business meeting, hosting a family reunion, or planning a wedding, Trails West is the place to be!

Jane E. Fliesbach Retreat Center

$300 four hour or $525 full day

The Jane E. Fliesbach Retreat Center offers a beautiful view of the North Platte River and Scotts Bluff National Monument. Your guests will surely be impressed as this venue is ideal for any occasion and can seat up to 130 people. The Retreat Center has a full kitchen including stove, microwave, refrigerator, and ice maker. This venue is heated and air conditioned and is accompanied by a gorgeous fireplace your guests will be talking about for weeks to come.

Kiwanis Lodge

$260 four hour or $425 full day

The Kiwanis Lodge is truly one of our landmarks. This building is the original building on our camp site. It seats up to 120 people with a full kitchen that includes an oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, and a gas fireplace.

Trails West Pavilion

$400 four hour or $625 full day

The Trails West Pavilion is open on all sides and has a gorgeous view of the North Platte River and Scotts Bluff National Monument. This venue is ideal for large gatherings such as weddings, business parties, or family gatherings. Chairs and tables are available for your group in this sheltered outdoor venue at no extra cost. However, if you need them to be set up or taken down, we do offer that for a fee. The pavilion seats up to 400.

Outdoor Private Rental Pool

$100 per hour-2hour minimum

Enjoy our private outdoor swimming pool complete with a water slide and splash area! Open from early June through late August, this is a great place to relax and cool off for kids and adults alike. Booking starts at $100.00 per hour with a 2 hour minimum/4 hour maximum. The Trails West Pavilion may also be added to your pool reservation at the cost of $50.00 per hour. Lifeguards are provided through the Scottsbluff Family YMCA.

Gordon Schaub Activity Center

With a capacity of 40 people, the Gordon Schaub activity center is a great venue for a small meeting or gathering. This building is often used by our summer day camp where they make fun arts and crafts or wild science experiments!

Paintball

$40 per player

**Must be 16 years old to participate in this activity. All participants must fill out a liability waiver. Link to the waiver is below.

This fun-filled, adrenaline-pumping activity will focus on individual/team tactics and strategies, problem solving, group communication, and team building. Whether you’re brand new or an expert, this program offers a wide variety of different games guaranteed to ensure everyone has a great time.

Up to 10 players can play on each team. Each person must register and must pay per hour time slot. This hour includes all the equipment including paintball marker, 500 paintballs, and protective equipment.
